Bruef Bio

Georgakopoulou Nefeli is an architect and a digital artist. After her Master’s degree (2014) in Digital Arts and Virtual Reality from the Paris 8 University and the Athens School of Fine Arts, she became a member of the EnsadLab research laboratory of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (2014-2017).

Her academic research focuses on the merge of science, technology and arts. Her work is based on concepts such as the use of materials as interfaces, mixed reality, robotic art, digital aesthetics and the use of AI in an artistic context.

Among other things, she has created interactive artworks and installations that have been presented at various festivals such as the Amber in Istanbul, Piksel in Bergen, Laval Virtual in Laval, Digital Arts Festival in Athens, Futur en Seine Festival in Paris, and others.

She is currently conducting her thesis at Paris 8 University as a member of the INREV team at the Department of Arts and Image Technologies and at the same time she is working on the H2020- S+T+ARTS "MindSpaces" project.
